Welcome to Telavi State University

Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University is one of the important universities in Georgia. It’s the oldest and largest educational and research institution in Kakheti Region, which draws many students’ attention from whole Georgia who come to Telavi to study.

 Telavi State University provides an attractive and high-standard study environment. It is located in the southern part of the city on the slope of Tsivi Mountain looking down the high-peak Caucasian mountains and emerald Alazani valley with its famous vineyards.

 Telavi State University is unique as it is situated in one of the most ancient and picturesque cities of Georgia.

In the very center of the city the fortress with the castle of Kakhetian Kings is erected around which there are comfortable cafes, gardens, tennis courts, folk- dance studios, rich and well-equipped city library, internet cafes and a wonderful theatre. They create a warm atmosphere for students’ study, communication, rest and entertainment and fill the city with seething life.

10.04.2007 Cooperation Agreement has been made between the Telavi State University ( TESAU) and the Hochschule Heilbronn - Heilbronn University ( HSHN) on 02.04.2007
. Both institutions agree to support the development of links in teaching, research and study programmes, especially the exchange of students, teaching staff and researchers in order to increase the quality of teaching process and research activities.
This agreement provides the framework for areas of cooperation. Areas of common interest have been identified in the fields of: Food Technology, Agro Ecology, Agro Technology, Vine making Technology, Informatics, e-Learning.
