Telavi State University intensively makes relations to the scientific and educational centers in abroad and actively takes parts in the International programs. International and national conferences are held in the University. The University is involved in Tempus Tacis program, by means of which the business contacts have been established with the Immunology Center of London University. Cultural- educational relationships are linked with Ioni Department of France. They provided the University with the computers and arranged32 the unique Informational center.

In 2000-2002 we participated as a partner in TACIS- TEMPUS project "A Georgian National Network of Universities for Biomedical Education".

In 2003-2004 academic year our student was sent to the USA in Drew University, New Jersey, to study for two semesters by IREX program.

In 2006 another student was sent to Graceland University, Iowa, the USA to study for two semesters by IREX program.

In 2007 one of our students was chosen to take part in the meeting of European Youth Parliament on 25-28 February, in Lvov, the Ukraine. ( EU project)

Prof. Tinatin Zurabishvili is sent to the university in California, the USA to work and get training in Faculty Development one semester per year for three years by OSGF program.

In 2006 our university created the consortia with four European Universities: Han University(the Netherlands), Academic Training Association(the Netherlands), University of Granoble-II(France) and University of Marburg(Germany) to write a TEMPUS-JEP project "Developing the Quality Assurance Systems in Telavi State University". Experts for the project are invited from University of Lancaster(Great Britain), Quality Assurance Netherlands Universities, Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse(france). The result will be announced in July, 2007

Cooperation Agreement has been made between the Telavi State University ( TESAU) and the Hochschule Heilbronn - Heilbronn University ( HSHN) on 02.04.2007.

Both institutions agree to support the development of links in teaching, research and study programmes, especially the exchange of students, teaching staff and researchers in order to increase the quality of teaching process and research activities.

This agreement provides the framework for areas of cooperation. Areas of common interest have been identified in the fields of: Food Technology, Agro Ecology, Agro Technology, Vine making Technology, Informatics, e-Learning.

Tempus two year project in Telavi state University
HAN University ( The Netherlands), Academic Training Association ( the Netherlands), Marburg University ( Germany), Grenoble University ( France) together with Telavi State University created the consortium by help of which will realize Tempus two year project "Development of an Internal Quality Assurance System at Telavi State University " funded by Euro Commission. The Netherlands University Quality Assurance accreditation Institute, Toulouse Agrarian University ( France) and Lancaster University ( England) professors are involved as individual experts. European level educational programs and plans will be created in the frame of the project as well as students' assessment new systems, training of the academic and educational staff will be held. Modern methodology of teaching will be brought in, the library network will be developed and compiled, joint scientific journal will be edited.

Telavi State University is involved in Erasmus Mundus project
Erasmus Mundus three year project funded by Euro committee foresees the mobility of students, researchers and professor- teachers from the south Caucasian and European Universities. 18 universities are involved in Erasmus Mundus project: seven European, three Georgian, five Armenian and three Azerbaijan as well as Telavi State University. The mobility of students, professor-teachers from all three levels of the higher education( Bachelor, Master, Doctorate) will take place among these 18 universities.

In the frames of the project five Bachelors of Telavi State university will continue the study in Greek, Thessaloniki university and the Netherlands Hans Den Bosh University for 10 months, also two Masters will be sent to the same university for 16 months, and one Doctorate- in Thessaloniki for 12 months. One professor of our university will have the opportunity to do the researches in Angeri University in France for three months. On our side, Telavi State University will host students and professor-teachers from Italy and Bulgaria.

Partnership Committee is created between Freiburg ( Germany) and Telavi State university
Partnership Committee is created between Freiburg university of Germany and Telavi State University which will coordinate the collaboration between the Medical faculties of these Universities. In the frames of the project four Bachelors of Telavi State University will listen one semester of 2007-2008 in Freiburg University.

This relation foresees the long-term collaboration which will accomplice development of Telavi State University, strengthen of educational technical base and qualification of the teachers.
