Second Webinar Held within the GastroTour Project (WP3)

The second session of the webinar series organized  Work Package 3 of the GastroTour project took place on April 23, bringing together participants from project partner institutions.

The session focused on “Good Practices in Micro-Credentialling – Implications for GastroTour” and aimed to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration among project partners.

The webinar opened with welcome remarks, followed by a presentation from Salvador Anton Clavé (University of Rovira i Virgili, Spain), who introduced “Building and piloting institutional strategies for micro-credentials: The case of the EnoTour project.” The presentation highlighted practical approaches and experiences in developing micro-credential strategies.

Dr. Makhapa Makhafola and Thato Ramphisa from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) then delivered a presentation on “A perspective on micro-credential policy and strategy in South Africa,” providing insights into national-level developments.

Following a short break, Tamar Aslanishvili, Head of Internationalization and Public Affairs Office at TeSaU (Georgia), presented “Georgian landscape on micro-credentials: Opportunities and challenges,” outlining the current context and future opportunities in Georgia.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing participants to exchange ideas and reflect on key takeaways, followed by closing remarks.
