From 27 April to 1 May 2026, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University hosted Professor Regina Alves from the University of Minho, Portugal, within the framework of the Erasmus+ interinstitutional agreement. The visit took place at the Faculty of Education and Humanities of TeSaU.

During the visit, meetings were held with the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty, where the existing cooperation between the universities and future collaboration opportunities were discussed. Professor Regina Alves presented the University of Minho and spoke about possibilities for cooperation in teaching, joint research, academic exchange, and other international activities.

One of the key highlights of the visit was a guest lecture delivered for TeSaU students on the topic “Social Prescribing with Young People.” The lecture, conducted by Professor Regina Alves, attracted significant interest from both students and academic staff and was followed by engaging discussions on contemporary approaches to social support for young people.

As part of the programme, Professor Regina Alves also reviewed TeSaU’s Early Education curriculum and discussed its development perspectives with faculty representatives. Particular attention was paid to expert feedback and recommendations aimed at improving the study programme and aligning it more closely with international standards.

The visit represented an important step toward strengthening international academic cooperation between TeSaU and the University of Minho and once again highlighted the significance of the university’s internationalization process.
